Welcome to my little bio!
I am the owner of 5o1 Salon and I am so honored to be surrounded by the most incredible team of talented stylists! I fell into hairdressing by accident - but sometimes “accidents” can be a journey to finding “hidden gems”! I absolutely love being out in nature …surfing, kayaking, camping, or just playing in a good ole’ rain puddle!….. maybe because I was born on “Earth Day”?! My love for nature is what has molded me as a hairstylist! Have you ever noticed the gorgeous hair color on little kids who have been at the beach all summer? Well…. that’s the kind of hair color you can expect as one of my guests! The team always jokes about how I can make a guest blonde with only 3 foils…. it’s a talent I don’t try to hide…. I just love to recreate what Mother Nature used to…before we had to “adult”! Speaking of adulting- I am a proud parent of 2 adorable fur babies! 🐾 KC is my ride or die and is 16yrs old and Dolly P. (Yes… short for Dolly Parton, my spirit guide) is a 6yr old rescue that I was blessed in finding at the end of 2019! They are jokingly said to be insta-famous and if you are lucky- you might be greeted by them on occasion! As you probably gathered- I am a Dolly Parton fan - not just for her musical talent - but more importantly- the spirit of her soul! She is a lot more talkative than me, though, as I often get lost in the hair I am creating. ☺️
My guests tend to book several months out so it can often times be difficult to find an available spot as a new guest. But no need to worry- 5o1 has a team of stylists ready - and we can find YOUR perfect fit! Many of our guests even alternate between stylists! Seriously! Team work makes the 5o1 Experience work!!!

KATIE COLLIER Creative Director/Stylist
Hey there! For as long as I can remember, I have been passionate about hair, make up and making people feel amazing about themselves! With 15 years in the industry, I continue to stay current with education and trends to keep things fresh and fun for my guests. My passion is haircutting, finishing every haircut dry, allows me to tailor every cut to the guest’s face shape and personal style. With education being a top priority, I love to educate guests on how to use the perfect tools and products to make sure they have that “just left the salon look”, every day from home.
Seamless, dimensional color and soft, sun kisses blondes, is what brings it all together when I am thinking of the perfect color application. Need A formal style or make up for a special event? I happen to love to creating textured and organic looks for any occasion.
Spending time with my two boys Landon and Hunter and husband Jerry fills most of my free time! It’s a good bet that we are either playing baseball or watching football!

Hi, everyone! I’m an Ohio native but I’ve made Columbus, GA my forever home. I’ve been working in the industry for 10 years now and couldn’t be more in love with my career. I love all things color whether it’s hair or needle point or cake decorating! When I’m not creating beautiful hair at 5o1, you may find me snuggled up with my pups, Lucy and Wilbur, or out for a hike. Some fun facts about me would be, I once competed in a corn eating contest (and sadly lost) I used to skate on the local derby team and my first ever job was popping pop-corn at my uncle’s drive in movie theater! When asked what the best part of my job is, my immediate response is...’It’s my job to make friends and to create smiles! What more could a girl want?!’ I hope to help create YOUR next smile. AMI REED Stylist
Hello! My name is Ami Reed. I am married to the incredible Michael Reed. To know him is to love him. I’m also a bonus mom to the amazingly talented Connor Reed, and a dog mom to the sweetest pups this side of the Milky Way, Buddy and Blue. Yes, I’ve got a house full of boys, MY BOYS, as I lovingly refer to them. If you’re reading this, then you’re obviously interested in taking the next right steps in all of your hair care needs. I’ve been in the industry in several capacities for almost 20 years. From starting as an apprentice, to standing behind the chair, to being an educator. I guess you can say I’ve seen this wonderful world of hair grow and change over the past couple of decades. However, the one thing that has remained the same for me, is my love of connection with my guest. The feeling of collaboration that happens when my guests share their thoughts, challenges, and goals for their hair with me, and together, we create a plan to help them reach those goals. I enjoy having conversations that help educate my guests on services that will best maintain or improve the integrity of their hair, and what is or isn’t realistic based on the texture of their hair, their face shape and their lifestyle. You’ll get the best of me when you ask to enhance the natural tonal value of the hair, accent with a high light or low light, or simply cover those stubborn grey hairs.
I have naturally curly hair, so trust me when I say, I understand how hard it can be to find a stylist who can relate on all things in the curly hair world. We basically have our own language, right?

Hey y’all I’m Rachel! Also known as (littlebit or nugget). I am from and currently live in Alabama, WAR EAGLE!! I have been in the hair industry going on 10 years now, and I love everything about it.
I have known this is what I wanted to do since I was a little girl. My absolute favorite part of the whole hair experience is - “the chair turn”. Seeing my guests’ expressions when they get to see the final reveal of their hair is everything to me! I sincerely love connecting with people and helping them look and feel their best!
When I am not working I am spending all my time with my precious little family! I have a wonderful husband and two sweet babies ! Also two fur babies! We love to be outside and play until the sun goes down!

Hello there! My name is Mariel, I loved to play with hair as a kid but have been doing hair professionally for almost a decade. The loves of my life are God, George (my husband of 15 years), my son Javen, and daughter Esme. There is a 10 year difference between my kids… I know right!!!! I am a military spouse and very proud to say that we will be making Columbus and 5o1 Salon Exp. our forever home. I love all things hair, especially transformations in cut and color! Growing up, I spent countless hours in a salon watching my mom work her magic as a stylist. I'd eagerly grab the broom to sweep up, and would often convince clients to let me paint their nails post-appointment. Hair has always been my passion, and I consider myself incredibly fortunate to have turned that passion into a fulfilling career. Building connections and bringing joy through hair styling is something I cherish deeply. While I specialize in creating natural looks, I also thrive on bold transformations. LACEY GOLD SALON EXPERIENCE SPECIALIST
Hello there! You can usually catch me at the front desk or running back and forth throughout the salon! I originally met the owner, Chalet, through my best friend, Rachel Marks, and have been with 5o1 since the salon opened! I guess my sweet and shy personality shined through as I was asked to join the team to run the front desk. I was super nervous to accept the position as I didn’t even like calling the pizza guy. Now many of you can recognize my voice on the phone! My hours have recently changed so I am able to attend college full time. I am hoping to get my bachelors in science in under two years! Even though I am a busy lady, I make time for my husband and two German shepherds. I have been with my husband since I was fourteen and it was the best decision I ever made. We like to spend our time trying different hobbies. My biggest hobby is painting but I also like to swim, hike, and enjoy failing at archery. If you see me in the salon, do not hesitate to say hello. I can even make you a mean caramel latte or a hot chocolate that packs a punch!
CLAUDIA SCOTT CONTENT CREATOR - CONCIERGE
Howdy!
My name is Claudia, and you may recognize me as one of the smiling faces on our lovely Concierge Team! You may also recognize my social media handiwork from our salon Instagram or Facebook, as I am also our Content Creator. I am Columbus born and raised, and came to 5o1 first as a client! My stylist, Marissa, BEGGED me to apply for an opening at the front desk because she insisted I’d be a perfect fit. I guess she was right because I’ve been lucky enough to be a part of this incredible team ever since! When I’m not typing away on the computer, or scheduling posts for our feed, you can usually find me spending time with my family and friends. We are BIG board game nerds, and enjoy any game that seems overly complicated and requires at least 3 or more hours of playing time. I also enjoy music, and am quite the little songbird, constantly humming and whistling along to my everyday tasks. My true passion is leading worship, and I am honored to do so at a local church with my long-time boyfriend singing/playing at my side. My other loves include watching scary movies with my 3 sisters, spending time outdoors, goooood seafood, and lazy days at home!

I moved to Columbus as a teenager from Cincinnati, Ohio. I started out as a client of 5o1 for a few years and have always loved the atmosphere and smiling faces of the staff whenever coming for an appointment. I knew I would love being a part of the team. I enjoy making people smile and making sure that every client has a great experience from the moment they walk in the door. If I am not working as part of our concierge team, I can be found spending time with friends and family, relaxing by the pool or hiking on a cool day, loving on my animals and traveling to new places!
